Tried to keep my mouth shut
When we arrived there were bloody tissues in left in the drawer from the last guests. My fiance and I were headed into new York, we left the drawer open and told the front desk they were there. The woman wrote it down and said she would have it cleaned out. When we came back, it was late and just assumed everything was taken care.. next morning I woke up and went to put my phone charger in there, the napkins were still there. I went to the front, the two people that were there acted like they were concerned about the issue. A man came up, assuming it was the manager.. I explained the issue to him and he actually stood up for the staff.. they aren't allowed in the drawer. Ok, but I specifically told the girl and we left the drawer open. Whoever was in there saw it and closed the drawer without cleaning it. The place just generally was poorly maintained, breakfast was bad, coffee was bad, the creamer station wasn't ever filled. The bars of soap are cool. That's all I got.

Ed night auditor - great person!
This review is long over due. I've stayed here dozens of times and Ed has by far been my best experience with Hotel staff. Not only at the Wilshire but pretty much anywhere. He is undeniably an asset to the customer experience and undoubtedly, with internal responsibilities. My impression is that Ed consistently makes an effort to follow proper procedure and takes pride in his work. In addition, Ed is one of the primary factors I continue to frequent Wilshire!!!!! Although I was unhappy with customer service, manager did get back to me and told me he would speak to people involved and would do what he could to rectify to situation.

Nice room and hotel. Absolute worst customer service from trying to book room till end of stay. Still waiting for return phone call from manager I left in March! Slid on floor coming out of elevator and wasn't even asked if I was okay or could offer me ice or anything. Was told manager would follow ...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Was told manager would follow up on the incident report I inconvenienced the front desk of filling out and 2 days later still have not heard from the manager. Took almost 20 minutes to check out because the only 1 person working front desk was booking with another customer.

Last minute get away trip

I won a certificate for a free overnight stay, called made reservations and walla! The room I requested was available, clean a day comfortable! Continental breakfast was amazing. I will definitely pay to visit again! Staff is pleasant as well!!

I highly recommend the Wilshire for family gatherings. You get good value for the price. You can choose from several types of rooms for different family needs. This summer, for our family event, our guests traveled from overseas and felt very welcome at the hotel. They liked the warm, congenial atmosphere as soon as they walked through the main entrance on to their lovely rooms. The outdoor patio was open for all of us to meet in the evening under the clear night sky, the lobby was spacious for us to meet during the day. The location is good for walking into town, the park, or for traveling into NYC or throughout NJ. The staff are patient, courteous, and trained well to work with people.

The Wilshire Grand surpassed all our expectations. The outdoor wedding ceremony and patio area was absolutely gorgeousl! The cocktail room simply beautiful and the grand ballroom with it's large new dance floor magnificent! John was exceptional from beginning to end. He was professional and caring with every detail. We stayed at the convenient Wilshire Grand Hotel and Amanda was a delight in catering to all our needs in addition to making us feel extra-special. Ed guided us with his expertise. Angela, the bride's attendant, was an absolutely angel. My makeup artist stated the woman's lounge was amazing, the nicest she's ever seen. The presentation of our culinary selection was picture perfect and savory to taste, up to and including the specialty wedding cake. We used the in-house florist, Connie, whose flowers were breathtaking, within budget and was a joy to work with. This elegant venue will make any event truly special!
